This was a suborbital spaceflight that reached 100.1 km and satisfied all U.S. and international definitions for spacefligiht. It was the first privately funded suborbital human spaceflight and the second privately funded human space mission following MirCorp's Soyuz TM-30's mission to Space Station Mir.
