Jilin-1 02ES & Xiangrikui-2

This rideshare mission will launch two satellites: Jilin-1 02ES and Xiangrikui-2.

Jilin-1 02 ES

The primary satellite on this mission is Jilin-1 02ES, a high resolution commercial Earth observation satellite.

Designed and owned by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Company, Jilin-1 02 ES can see objects on Earth with a resolution of just 0.75 m while looking at a 40 km long location on Earth.

This will be the third in the series of Jilin-1 02 satellites to be launched.

Xiangrikui-2

Joining Jilin-1 02ES is the second in a series of planned test satellites.

Built by CAS Microspace and owned and operated by Future Navigation, a Beijing-based commercial company, Xiangrikui-2 will test new inter-satellite laser communication connections.

Before launch, the satellite is known at CentiSpace-1 and will be renamed Xiangrikui-2 once it successfully reaches orbit.

Kuaizhou-11

Kuaizhou-11 is the newest member of the Kuaizhou rocket family, which are designed to be rapid, “quick-reaction” rockets for China’s launch needs.

Larger, cheaper, and more capable than its predecessors, Kuaizhou-11 can take 1,000 kg to a 700 km orbit.

A commercially-offered rocket, Kuaizhou-11 is a three-stage, all solid propellant launcher and weighs roughly 78,000 kg at liftoff from a mobile truck.
