On Thursday, March 2nd, SpaceX launched its workhorse Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station from Kennedy Space Center in Florida carrying Crew-6. Our team members Jenny Hautmann and Erik Kuna were on site to capture liftoff.

Heading to space for a six-month mission were NASA astronauts Stephen Bowen and Warren "Woody" Hoburg, United Arab Emirates astronaut Sultan Alneyadi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. SpaceX has now launched 34 humans into orbit in less than three years. Head over to our Astronaut Database and sort by "Crew Dragon" to see the complete list.

The SpaceX Dragon, named Endeavour, docked at the space station on Friday, March 3rd at 1:40 AM EST while the station was 260 miles over the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Somalia, according to NASA. We have updated our Stations Dashboard to reflect current traffic and crew at the ISS.

Docking was slightly delayed as teams troubleshot a faulty docking hook sensor on Dragon. "The NASA and SpaceX teams verified that all of the docking hooks were in the proper configuration, and SpaceX developed a software override for the faulty sensor that allowed the docking process to successfully continue," the agency explained.
